Fireman’s Prayer
Almighty God, protector of all mankind,
your strength, power, and wisdom are a
beacon of light to all men.
Give special guidance to Firemen and
Firefighters so that we may be
protected from harm while performing
our duty.
Help me with your loving care while I
work to save the lives and property of
all people, young and old.
Give me the courage, the alertness to
protect my neighbors and all others
whom I am pledged to aid when
involved in fire or accident.
Amen.
about me
I was born and raised in Northern Michigan. From a
very young age, I knew I was going to become a
firefighter. I moved to Sault Sainte Marie, MI to
attend college at Lake Superior State University
where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Fire
Science and an associate’s degree in Paramedic
Technology. I worked as a paid on call and
volunteer firefighter for around 6 years and a
paramedic for 4 years. I decided to continue my
medical education and I applied to Physician
Assistant school at the University of Toledo. I
moved to Northwest Ohio and began classes in fall
of 2023.
With my current school schedule I’m not able to
work shifts, but I wanted to remain involved in the
fire service in a new way. I decided to combine my
love of photography with my passion for the fire
service. South Side Fire Photography was born over
the 4th of July weekend, 2024.
